The SRT board has decided to extend the construction period of the Thai-Chinese railway by another 350 days after the handover of the area to the contractor was delayed due to the obstruction of the leased building. It confirmed that it will not affect the plan to open the service in 2018.

Mr. Veerit Amrapal, Governor of the State rcs data europe Railway of Thailand (SRT), revealed after the SRT board meeting that the SRT board approved an extension of the contract period and an amendment to the construction contract for the Thai-Chinese railway project, Phase 1, Bangkok-Nakhon Ratchasima section, Contracts 3-5, Civil Works, Khok Kruat-Nakhon Ratchasima section, by extending the contract period for another 350 days from the contract end date, which is 25 March 2025, and the contract extension will end on 10 March 2026.

In addition, the construction coordination plan should be adjusted to be in line with the contract terms and conditions, whereby the contractor has no right to claim any expenses, compensation or benefits, including no expenses for the project supervisor (CSC) and project management consultant (PMC), and the State Railway of Thailand will not lose any benefits and will not have any impact on the implementation of other projects.
